Origin Bank Announces Corporate Sponsorship of Queensbury Theatre’s Tribble School for the Performing Arts

HOUSTON – Origin Bank is proud to announce its sponsorship of Queensbury Theatre’s Tribble School for the Performing Arts of Houston. Origin Bank is the school’s first corporate sponsor and has established a total fund of $15,000, part of which is earmarked for the formation of two Origin Bank Scholarships for the Performing Arts, which will benefit a Tribble School student in the 2016 spring semester and another student in Tribble School’s 2016 summer camp program.

“We are so appreciative of the opportunity to bring two great performers into one great partnership,” said Kristina Sullivan, Director of Education at the Queensbury Theatre’s Tribble School for the Performing Arts. “The partnership between our school and an established institution like Origin Bank will truly impact the lives of children who love the theatre and want to further their performance skills.”

Upon the opening of Queensbury Theatre in June 2015 near Town and Country Village, Town Centre and CityCentre shopping areas, and the bank’s Memorial Banking Center, Origin’s Houston leadership recognized an opportunity for this strategic partnership. This collaboration allows the bank to further its mission of enriching the lives of the people in the communities it serves.

“We’re thrilled to support the creativity and the talent of the students of the Tribble School,” said Preston Moore, Houston Regional President of Origin Bank. “An exceptional stage performance takes a lot of study, hard work and the special originality each actor brings to his or her character,” he added. “In much the same way, the Origin Bank team works hard to be unique in a sea of sameness, and to deliver a consistent, quality performance for each and every unique customer that walks through our doors.”

A banking institution since 1912, Origin Bank has locations across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Commitment to community is one of the bank’s core values. The company lives out that commitment not only through financial support and community leadership, but also through its volunteer program, Project Enrich, which gives full-time employees up to 20 hours of paid time off per year to get involved with causes and organizations they feel strongly about. In 2015, Origin Bank employees spent a total of 1,478 work hours volunteering through Project Enrich. Now, by partnering with Queensbury Theatre’s Tribble School for the Performing Arts of Houston, Origin Bank can continue its tradition of giving back and improving the surrounding greater community.
